Sensory-Friendly by Design

Sensory-friendly means a product is designed for people who are sensitive to how things smell, feel, and look — including many autistic people, people with sensory processing differences, and anyone whose senses are easily overwhelmed. For them, a strong scent or a sticky texture can make a routine hard to tolerate.

Bloom 5.5 began with a mother making skincare her son could use comfortably, and every product in the Women's Collection follows that standard.

Our Sensory-Friendly Standard

No Added Fragrance

No perfumes or essential oils in our face, hair and body formulas. The lip balm carries only a light flavor.

Comfortable Textures

Lightweight, fast-absorbing, and non-sticky, so nothing lingers or feels heavy on skin or hair.

Simple to Use

Airless pumps dispense a measured amount with one press, and pre-soaked pads need no rinsing.

Gentle by Default

Built around calming, low-irritation ingredients and a pH that works with skin, not against it.

Where It Started

For nearly 30 years, Maria has been the lead advocate for her son, Tommy, who lives with autism. Caring for him showed her how much sensory needs shape everyday life: a strong scent, a sticky texture or a stinging ingredient can turn a simple routine into a daily struggle. She tested every batch on Tommy's skin until she found prickly pear seed oil, whipped into silky, fast-absorbing formulas that calm sensitive skin.
